News round up

Congratulations must go to volunteers from Mataji's Temple in Cowley. "Temple manager, Sanjivbhai Shukla, singer and drummer during auspicious occasions, Rituben Bhourlay, and religious worker, Drupenbhai Patel" received Hillingdon Borough "Something to be proud of" awards at Uxbridge College earlier this month.  To read more, visit the Temple blog.

On 12th December there will be a night of live reggae music at the Battle of Britain Club. Tickets are £10 and must be bought in advance. Money raised will go to support St Laurence Cowley church. For more information visit the church website.

On 1st December there will be a free public lecture at Brunel University given by Nazir Afzal OBE LLD. Named on the "Power List" as one of the most influential Muslims in the world, Afzal is the Chief Crown Prosecutor in the North West of England.
